12APR24

13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139:13–14 (ESV)
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you
Jeremiah 1:5 (ESV)
We live in a society that very callously talks about the issue of abortion and acts as if we are not discussing the life of unborn babies. Every single one of us is known by God and and every single one of us were knitted together in the womb of our mothers.
I am not going to get into the political stance or debating issues, but I do want to highlight one major truth. Our country and our world needs the fear of God in their hearts, a fear that is derived from the absolute awe and reverence of our Lord. When you have Christ in your heart, you cannot help but to value human life.
We have become so obsessed with self worship and self absorbance, that we don’t even care for the life that God creates in us. That is a sad place to be as a country and as a world. The good news is that Christ will restore anyone that puts their faith in Him. You are not “too far gone” if you had an abortion, struggle with drugs and alcohol, have a pornography addiction, or any other vice that grips us. We are all broken, we have all fallen short, but Christ redeems us, and he refines us.
Prayer: Dear Lord, please work in the hearts of those in our country and around the world, and give us strength so that we can bring others closer to you. Lord, I pray for the unborn children in this world. I pray that we get to a place as a society, where we value all human life, not just our own. Thank you for sending your Son, so that we may have life everlasting. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
