“27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27 (ESV)
Political climate, inflation, impending global conflicts, and the list goes on. There are so many things that can garner our attention and in turn develop anxiety amongst our being. All of these things are real issues that are going on in our world, but they tend to distract us from where all of our attention should be.
Jesus says “Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid”. We serve the God that holds the master plan to the universe, and he is always in control. We can find peace and comfort knowing that everything is happening exactly as it should so that God can be glorified.
“And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?” Matthew 6:27 (ESV)
Prayer: Lord, as the storms of life come, give me the strength to find peace in your comfort. Let my heart be still, knowing that you are in control and you will be glorified by it all. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
