“18 If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. Have you ever been laughed at or mocked for professing your faith in Jesus?

As the world around us continues to promote everything that lacks righteousness, it should not be a surprise that we are mocked and ridiculed by those who do not know God. They hate us because they hated him first. Now more then ever we must put on the armor of God each and every day, ready to defend against the work of the Satan, so that we may be light in a world of darkness.

Prayer: Lord, I know my primary calling in life is to serve You and glorify Your name. As the world continues to change and the unbiblical becomes common place, give me the strength to unapologetically glorify You and speak truth, even when it is not popular. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
