1 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my fathers house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going. 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14: 1-6 (ESV)

Have you ever entered directions into your GPS and it doesn’t know where you are? You take what you thought was the correct turn and find out that you should have gone the other way to get to your destination.

We are lucky that Jesus always knows exactly where we are all the time. He knows what season of life we are in, and what we are struggling with. He never leaves our side, and is the best GPS we could ask for, always pointing us towards our real home. Jesus gives us the roadmap to eternal life, all we need to do is put our Faith in Him.

As you travel through the potholes and the road blocks of life, remember that Jesus is in control and when you put your faith in him, your destination is certain. Jesus is not one of the ways, he is not a way, he is THE WAY.

Prayer: Lord, let me never forget that when I put my faith in you, my destination is certain and my seat is reserved in the place in which you have prepared. Lord, let me never forget that you know exactly where I am in this present moment, and are right by my side to guide me through. May I rejoice today in this news and seek to glorify you in all I say and do. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
